The 1-26 is a single place all metal glider. There were 700 produced (including 200 kits) of four versions: the 1-26, 1-26B, 1-26D, and 1-26E, between 1954 and 1979. Conceived as a "One Design" class for competition, the 1-26 is still active in sports class contests. The 1-26 association has more information about the type.
