We have one retrieve phone and the number is
513-932-7627 (YEA-SOAR). The line will be monitored
after the tasks open each day including practice
day. Per the rules, when calling in have your
latitude and longitude ready. Let us know if
you want your crew to come. Or, from most airports
we can provide aero tows on a first come basis.
The cost is $72 per tach hour with a $36 minimum.
Try to be organized and brief when you call since
we only have one phone. If your crew is going
to retrieve you, please call back when the crew
arrives. Crews, sign out if you leave the field
for any reason.
To make retrieving as efficient as possible,
please follow these procedures:
- Upon landing, fill in your landing card
completely, including your landing coordinates,
the phone number from which you are calling
and where you can be reached. Fill out your
landing card before you make your call.
- Call retrieve office. When reporting your
landing, repeat the landing description from
your landing card and include your coordinates.
- Upon returning to the field, turn in your
landing card and GPS to the scorer immediately.
- Pilots registering without a crew can either
make their own arrangements for retrieve crew
or sign up on the "crewless sheet." Retrieve
office will only relay information, not solicit
crew persons at time of call in.
Crew Retrieve Procedures
To make retrieving as efficient as possible,
please follow these procedures:
- Before leaving the filed, crew must report
to retrieve office, regardless of whether you
opt to work independently of the retrieve office.
The office requires pilot landing location
coordinates.
- Retrieve office will close at 7:00 p.m.
If you have not found your pilot by this time,
call back before this deadline to request office
staff to remain at the phone.
- You need to call the retrieve office when
you are together with your pilot
Description of re-launch procedures
Use the South side of the runway for relites.
Please call on 123.3 and advise "Tree
Two Two relite on Runway 27 (or 9)." We
will have a couple of tow vehicles to retrieve
you and get you back flying ASAP. Try to land
and roll out far enough South so as not to
interrupt the launch if possible.
